Minimizing Mess While Cooking    by Terry Retter

Is there such thing as trouble-free cooking?

Who would not be terrified with hardened sauce spills and towering height of dirty pots and dishes stacked high on the sink? Even Great Chefs would agree that being able to cook without these hassles is a very lucky thing. It may be hard to believe, but there is no kitchen that does not have any single mess while cooking. However, there are few things you can do to minimize mess and make things easier.

Work within your comfort zone. We all enjoy working with ease particularly when we like the recipe we are doing. Have kitchen gadgets and cookware within easy reach. If you’re making a difficult dish, understand the details of every instruction. Make sure you have everything. Nothing frazzles even the most expert cook like rushing to beat the eggs you forgot you needed, or having to run out to the store more than once in the middle of cooking to buy a spice required in the recipe.

Clean as you go. Washing each pot, pans every after use could lessen the burden. Put utensils right in the dishwasher. If you find it hard to keep up with washing right away, at least take a moment to run water in the empty pots, allowing them to soak for much easier cleaning after the meal, or clean while foods boil or bake. Cleaning them right after use would take less than a minute than cleaning later after cooking.

Wipe up any spills particularly hard-to remove sauces at once to avoid sticky and hard to remove messes that are much more maddening to clean afterwards. As soon as you finish cooking, immediately clean the sink with plain soapy water so it would be ready to go the next time you will use it. Cleaning up as you go will help make things a lot easier than when you allow food to dry and harden. I’m sure you agree that nothing is as relaxing than seeing a clean kitchen after cooking.

A lot of women claims that cleaning up after cooking is what they find worst about working in the kitchen. If you find time to consider these simple but only effective tips, you will realize it only takes a little effort to make something like a trouble-free cooking, and not only can these solutions reduce stress from all the kitchen work, it is also better for your overall health and well-being.

When you know exactly what is going into your food, you are more likely to make healthy choices and you are sure it’s great for the Whole Family. Always remember, the more you try to make cooking as trouble-free as possible, the more successful your cooking will be.
